TerraCycle - Near Perfect Eco-Capitalism

Caught a glimpse of a National Geographic TV special featuring TerraCycle, a company that makes all its products from waste. All its products. Every part of everything, recycled, upcycled, repurposed, reused.

Check it out:

(As of this posting, their website (www.terracycle.net) was down so no link can be provided at the moment. But I'll update this post with a link when their site comes back up.)

UPDATE: Here's the link to www.terracycle.net.

  1. that's pretty darn impressive... hopefully enough people vote with their wallets so they stick around.

  2. Agreed! The more I look into this company the more impressed I am with their business model, their innovative approach and their overall creativity. It's precisely the dialectical sort of gestalt we need to solve problems of this magnitude.

  3. I've been telling other people about this post.

Its also interesting the Terra Cycle references your blog on their "in the news" section.

  4. Thanks for the heads-up, xog. Not only are they the pioneering pilgrims of the landfills, they also keep up with ALL their notices... even from a diminutive presence like Metro Green. That said, they seem to have some technical site issues. Very slow load times, site crashes from time to time. Perhaps they need a less "trashy" server?
